One of our best events is our monthly weekend cruise.   Each year, the Cruise Committee plans a variety of cruises keeping in mind the expected weather conditions and the size of the boats. Weekend trips may include excursions to Bahia Beach, Desoto Point, Regatta Point, Longboat Key, Clearwater, Tampa, Caladisa , Terra Ceia bay or Sarasota. Frequently the trips are close enough that land cruisers can join the sailors during cocktails and dinner. Boats leave the BCYC basin around 9 am on Saturday with the objective of arriving at the objective by dinner were boats raft up for cocktails, and often a potluck dinner. On Sunday morning all join together, on a members boat, for breakfast, pull anchor and return to BCYC where boat often arrive late Sunday afternoon.
